Hey Golden Eagles! Here’s a little more information on the next installment of Late Night happening February 24th at 8PM in the Weasler Auditorium. Late Night Marquette and the Diederich College of Communication are proud to bring you “Last Comic Standing,” Marquette’s very own stand-up comedy competition. While the majority of the evening will be focused around enjoying Marquette students’ stand-up acts, special guest Baratunde Thurston, stand-up comedian and director of digital for The Onion, will be performing at the end of the night! Members of the Marquette Comedy Sportz group will be there to host the event as well…trust me, this is something you don’t want to miss!
If you, or any of your friends are interested in participating in the event as a stand-up comedian, get the application HERE! Did I mention that the winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of $250?! With a chance of winning that, why not apply? Applications are due on Friday, February 18th, at 4PM.
If you aren’t so keen on performing, that’s okay, there will be plenty of opportunities for the audience to win some great prizes! Enter for a chance to win a trip for you and 4 of your friends to Chicago with MUSG to see the legendary Second City Comedy Show! The evening includes transportation, dinner, and tickets to the show. You must be present at the time of the drawing to win, so if you come, make sure you stick around! I hope to see you all there
