You know what? Despite the fact that Christmas has in many ways been over commercialized, with the true meanings being lost, I have to admit that some of the over indulgence is just downright fun! After all, I cannot think of another season in which people decorate with such fever as the Christmas season. Halloween is a close second, but skulls and crossbones are just not as inviting as wreaths, garland, fresh baked sugar cookies and of course, those outrageous light displays that that require a small nuclear reactor to run. I do not know if you saw the original light display, which had lights dancing to Wizards in Winter and was unofficially responsible for hundreds of seizures. Well since that first house, it has become a kind of battle for whose house is the craziest, biggest, brightest and of course most Christmassy. So for your viewing pleasure below are four videos that I believe represent some of the better fare the internet has to offer!
I tell ya there is nothing quite like an outrageous light display to put you in the Christmas mood! I know I am in one and as a result cannot wait until I fly home to my family next Friday. However that flight represents not only a flight home for me but also a flight away from the OSD and this here blog. Next semester I will be returning to my co-op job and as result will no longer be writing this blog for the OSD. I must say that my two semesters as a writer have been a real pleasure and that although my fan/reader base was small, it was mighty.
